A very thoughtful post, and I agree, especially since Jobseekers Allowance amounts to £3,000 per annum. I would find it very hard to live a pampered lifestyle on that sum. I suspect cutting benefits would just lead to many people being cast into utter destitution. It's time to come up with a serious, evidence-based solution to this problem, which has blighted Scottish society for far too long.
